Looking back at the past month
of my daily painting practice,
I’m thisclose to finishing another art journal.
I’ve discovered that daily painting makes it so simple to fill up a book. It used to take me months, sometimes years to finish one because I’d do a page here and there. I wasn’t consistent. Since I’ve been painting daily again, I’ve been concentrating on my art journals more.
Probably a good thing I’m going to finish up soon. This one is so thick with paint in some areas, the pages are starting to fall out of it. So much texture! I love running my hand across the pages.
There are a few pages in this book, such as this one, that will be changing soon. As I was thumbing through it, I noticed some pages don’t really feel like “me”. Once I’m finished with the book, I might revisit the pages I’m not crazy about, and keep painting until I like them.
