Abstract painterly portrait paintings

I played around in my art journal last night for about 6 hours. I bought new watercolor paint a couple weeks ago, and I was in the mood to paint loose, abstract-like portraits. I threw some gouache in there also.

The gouache I used was a set from Winsor & Newton, which I’ve had for a couple years now. I will probably write a review for the watercolor paint set soon.

My neck of the woods earlier today,
and the reason I’m struggling with
low energy lately.

I have no idea what’s up with these two cuties wanting to snuggle when it’s a billion degrees. I was sandwiched between them in bed last night, and barely slept. They pressed their fur coats up against me like it was the middle of the winter. I was drenched in sweat, but didn’t want to make either of them move. Aww. 😻😹😺🔥🥵☀️

Looks like summer plans on
strutting her stuff
for a while longer.
