Just another ordinary studio day, except I realized I don’t take many studio pics anymore. These two photos are a couple months old, and I might have already posted them before. When I looked for new ones to share, I didn’t have any. Kinda unusual for me.
I got a new super cheap camera last week on Ebay for $22. I like keeping the cheapie cameras around because if I splash paint on it or drop it in a bucket of paint water, it doesn’t really matter all that much. I can easily replace it.
I have no excuses now..I’ll have new photos next week. 🙂

I meant to share this sooner. I found it a couple weeks ago. Rare recordings of Sylvia Plath reading her poetry. I had never heard her voice before, so it was rather chilling to listen.

This is how real photographers get it done. At least that’s what I was told when I yelled, “What are you doing??!! You’re going to get killed!!!” 😉 Truthfully, we could hear cars coming from about a mile away, and it was dead quiet, except for the wind. He wasn’t in any danger.
I just got word this afternoon that Art Journal Kickstarter book will be published in a few weeks. My artwork is in the book, so this is pretty exciting news. 🙂 The publisher said it’s okay to share the cover with everyone, so here it is! I’ll write more once it’s available for purchase.

Last weekend it was 90F, and we almost turned the ac on, but decided to tough it out. Sweet Pea and her friend hung out together on the porch. Cut to five days later, Friday night, when the low was 22F. Slight difference, I’d say. It’s warmer now, but Sweet Pea kitty is curled up on my feet, as I write this. One of my favorite things about Fall is how Sweet Pea changes, and becomes a little snuggly bug. There’s nothing better than a warm kitty on your lap, and a hot cup of tea. mmm..
