I noticed after I saved it that the photos aren’t in order of how I made them across the row. Instead, you’ll have to look down the first row, then down the second. That’s dumb. I’ll try to remember not to use autofill next time on Picmonkey. I’m not going to worry about it now.
30 paintings in 30 days is finished!!!! Here’s to 30 or more in February!! Yeah!! Oh, I’m never gonna stop..never!!!! I’ve been painting (most) every day since 2008, not gonna stop now. 😀

Funny thing..someone found me on Etsy by searching for “watercolor of man with beard and planets meditating”. Whut?? I had to laugh. Number one..I don’t use watercolors, and number two..planets meditating??? WHAT???!!! Planets mediate???? I had nooo idea. I want to see that painting!!!!! I know I will LOVE it. lol
I did an acrylic portrait of a man with a beard. Whoever was searching must have been so disappointed. Oh, well..it’s not my day to save the world.

I actually painted more than 30 paintings this month. I haven’t had a chance to post everything here yet, but I have an entire art journal almost completed, and that feels really good. Art journaling is one of my go-to things lately. When I go into my studio, I go straight for my art journals. I have 4 books at different stages of completion. Greg brought me home THREE last night..so exciting!! I’ve asked him to be on the lookout for any large size books at the library for sale, since he’s there nearly every day.

I’m not going to stop blogging just because the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge has ended. I will be here at least on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I might even throw in some posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well. Ever since I saw Alisa Burke’s video about blogging a few days ago, I’ve been feeling inspired to blog more. I really want to take her class, but Misty Mawn’s class, Full Circle, just started, and I want to give it all my attention.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a collage of allll 30 paintings.

Oh, that Sylvia. I’ve read all her poems, word for word, but I can’t find the answers I’m seeking there. She haunts me, and I think of her often, although not as often as I once did. I can never make my paintings look as sad as I imagine she was, tho.

Then it got warm, and the snow went away.

I’ve been turning the camera on when I’m doing my art journal warm up paintings. Since the tripod is on the table, which means the camera is right above where I’m painting, I figure why not? These are fun little pages I do before tackling a more serious painting for the day. It gets my creativity flowing, and it gives me something to upload to my youtube channel. If I get something I like, I can sell prints. So, it’s a win/win/win type of situation.
