When I look through my sketchbooks, they bring back moments that I would otherwise have completely forgotten.
Susan Minot
I think the quote above is the reason I have been into art journaling for 20+ years, so I can look back and remember moments of time.
I created this page when the skies had been steel gray, and the temperature wasn’t getting higher than 0F every day.
She closed her eyes, so her reality is blocked out for a moment, but still she smiles because she’s finding happiness within herself. I was finding the same by creating this page.
Same with this page, it was frigid cold, and I wanted to bring some summer vibes into my life atm. I imagined how nice it felt for the sunlight to be hitting her bare skin, as I shivered under layers of clothes, and tried to keep warm.
I don’t know if I knew why I was creating this page, in that moment, but looking back, I’m like..oh, yeah! I remember that dark, cold night.
I hope you take a few minutes to document your life today – start wherever you are with what you have on hand, and create in whatever way you choose to do it. In six months or 6 years, you’ll thank yourself for the memories, and I thank you for stopping by today. xo

I’m currently on hiatus from creating new work to sell, but there are plenty of paintings in my shop for sale. Shipping is free within the USA, if you purchase art directly from me. I also sell originals & prints on eBay and Etsy. You can get some great deals on my weekly eBay auctions and/or on some of my flash sales I have on Etsy.
As always, if you want to say hello or have any questions you can write me here. I love getting email, and hearing from you.
Other places to find me online.
