Harold
heart cloud – do you see it?
Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.

A tornado watch had been issued for our county when these photos were taken. About an hour later, the weather service moved it up to a tornado warning. Several tornadoes were reported in the area to the south of us.
This is looking between the storm clouds at the blue sky beyond.
Rainbow to the east. It was really windy out there. Sorry for the blur.
It got a little too stormy for us, so we headed home.
It’s going to continue to storm here for the next week.
I’ll probably have more photos later.

I always think it’s so cute when I see Maude being affectionate to Harold. It doesn’t happen a lot, so I adore this photo of her hugging him. It’s usually Harold hugging Maude. He’s more affectionate and needier than Maude. She doesn’t mind all his attention, but rarely gives it back in return..she’s a selfish little taker, not a giver of her love. haha Come to think of it, she’s the same way with me. Everything must be done exactly Maude’s way. She ain’t got time for me otherwise.

Spring is so fickle. One day it’s 90F, and the next day it’s 45F. The poor leaves are so confused, and so am I. One day I’ll be wearing shorts, and the next day, I need a hoodie. brrr.

I might be a little quieter (word-wise) this week because I’m working on another commissioned painting. I’ll still have some photos to post, tho. I’ve been enjoying these photo blogs I’ve been doing lately, and will keep it up. I’ve often thought of turning this into a photoblog only, no writing. It’s really not best for seo, and ranking on Google, tho.
The most expensive art supply I own – Dorland’s Wax.
Harold wasn’t crazy about the price of the wax, either. Okay, maybe he wasn’t crazy about my noisy camera shutter waking him up. If looks could kill, I’d be dead, right? Grr!!

It was an absolutely gorgeous 85F day here today. It was a little too warm for me. I had to dig out some shorts.
Maude and Harold kittens
My little babies are off to the vet today to be spayed and neutered. We were going to have it done last month, but decided to wait until they were a little bigger. It is surgery, after all. My stomach has been in knots. I worried all last night, and didn’t sleep well. I haven’t been away from them for more than an hour or two since November. The house is soooo quiet, and will be until they come back sometime tomorrow. Even though they have been creating complete chaos, and there’s never a dull or quiet moment since they’ve come to live with us back in November, I miss them so much. And, if it is quiet for a moment, I know I best be checking on them because 9.9 times out of 10, they’re doing something they shouldn’t. 🙂
So, yeah, it’s much too quiet around here, and I’ve been an emotional mess. Sweet Pea, on the other hand, haha..well, let’s just say she’s getting some much needed uninterrupted rest. This morning she was kinda funny, tho..she couldn’t believe they weren’t hiding around here somewhere, so she kept swatting the air, hissing, and growling..just in case. It didn’t take her long to figure it out, she went on a complete tour of the house, and she was soon back in bed, snoozing. When she’s not sleeping, she’s prancing around like she’s queen of the house, once again. Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!! The annoying little brats are gone!! I’m bracing myself for the hissy fit she has when they return. I think we’ll have to keep them separated for a week or two, until the kittens heal.

This little bird is so full of seeds, he’s about to topple off his tree branch. 🙂
Harold and Maude
Cute kitten photo of the day
They were so excited to see me this morning. They both were clinging to my pant leg, and learned how to climb up into my lap. Soooo cute. Maude continues to be a little foodie. This morning she threw herself across the saucer, on top of the wet food, so Harold couldn’t eat. She usually freezes him out by pushing and pushing him over until he’s completely off the plate. Greg keeps saying they need their own plates, but give up seeing all this cuteness? No way!! She had wet can food all over her belly and feet. 🙂 Don’t worry. Harold got some wet food, extra dry food, and kitten formula.
They have conquered the litter box, and only had one small accident yesterday. Today, no accidents!! They learn so fast. Harold has this weird little habit of jumping on top of his sister’s head when she goes to the litter box. And, every single time, she turns her back, and never sees him coming. He creeps up on her, twitches his little behind, then plop!! Soooo funny. I have to get it on video.
Before my life totally turned upside with these new baby kittens, I took these photos…
