I always think it’s so cute when I see Maude being affectionate to Harold. It doesn’t happen a lot, so I adore this photo of her hugging him. It’s usually Harold hugging Maude. He’s more affectionate and needier than Maude. She doesn’t mind all his attention, but rarely gives it back in return..she’s a selfish little taker, not a giver of her love. haha Come to think of it, she’s the same way with me. Everything must be done exactly Maude’s way. She ain’t got time for me otherwise.

Spring is so fickle. One day it’s 90F, and the next day it’s 45F. The poor leaves are so confused, and so am I. One day I’ll be wearing shorts, and the next day, I need a hoodie. brrr.

I might be a little quieter (word-wise) this week because I’m working on another commissioned painting. I’ll still have some photos to post, tho. I’ve been enjoying these photo blogs I’ve been doing lately, and will keep it up. I’ve often thought of turning this into a photoblog only, no writing. It’s really not best for seo, and ranking on Google, tho.

I did an entire series of these landscape paintings. It was just before all this lovely warm weather we’ve been having came along, and the actual sky outside was gray. It might have snowed, I can’t remember now. It was pretty dismal, and bleak. Dark, and dreary for a week or more. It was even a little too moody for someone who loves winter as much as I do. So, I got out my oils, and for several days I focused on mostly blue sky, and green grass. I wasn’t using photos for reference. These came straight from my imagination. That’s the marvelous thing about being an artist. You make your own world. You don’t need permission from any outside sources. You are in charge of everything, including the weather.
This oil landscape series is available here.
I’ll be adding more once I have the photos edited.

I’ve been feeling under the weather for a couple weeks now, pretty much since the challenge started. I don’t have a cold or the flu, exactly, although at times I think I’m coming down with something. It’s more like I’m tired, run down, and feeling blah. So, I’ve been struggling to find something to add here below the painting, but I keep coming up short. Sometimes, it’s better not to force things. Tomorrow will be another day.

Yup, but still, being on the receiving end of a reject letter really stinks.
On the bright side, at least they wrote me back, and didn’t leave me hanging, right?
