This art journal has filled up quite quickly,
and I expect to be finishing it
within the next few days…
if I keep plugging away at it.
It’s always a bitter sweet moment when I put my completed journal on the shelf with all the others. I can’t help but note the passing of time, and think of all the time I’ve spent with my art journal over the past several months.
I love to draw at night when I’m in front of the tv watching Youtube or Netflix. It keeps my hands busy, helps me concentrate and relax after working all day.
I spent a lot of nights over the past winter playing in this art journal. It’s gotten me through some rough spots, and helped when I felt bored during the long cold darkness.
I’m forever grateful to have art journaling as my creative outlet. My journals give me a place to go when I feel like channeling my inner child. No matter how old we get, I’m convinced we will always have a child living inside us, who just wants to be given time and freedom to play.

What I’m reading:
Kurt Cobain’s spiral notebooks – I actually have two copies of his notebooks. If I remember right, one has a black cover, and one a red. I’m pretty sure it’s the same book, but I couldn’t pass up buying both. It’s been years since I read one, but reading this blog post made me want to dust one off soon.

As always, if you want to say hello or have any questions you can write me here. I love getting email, and hearing from you.
