Art journal portraits created
with craft paint by Katie Jeanne Wood
I cleaned this one up in Photoshop,
and giclee prints are available
if you’re interested.
You might have notice a change in my work the past couple weeks. Since I’ve been on hiatus, I’ve been experimenting & playing around with new art supplies. I bought some craft paint a couple weeks ago, and two new sets of watercolor paint in tubes.
I also bought new warm colored construction paper, which I haven’t used yet. I’m thinking about starting a new portrait series combining the craft paint and new paper, which I’ll offer for sale.
I’m not quite ready to end my hiatus just yet, tho.
If I start a new series
that will mean going back to hours
of computer work every day.
Photographing, scanning & listing
new paintings.

The officer worker side of me is burnt out, and screaming NOOOoooo. I have to listen to her because I don’t know what I’ll do if she quits her job completely. I’ve been lucky to squeeze some blog posts out of her, so I’m gonna keep quiet, and let her rest.
K, I’m off to play around in my art journal, probably for the final time. I only have 2 or 3 pages left, and this book will be finished. Makes me excited, and a little sad at the same time. I’ve learned so much from this little book. Aww..
Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely evening.

I’m currently on hiatus from creating new work to sell, but there are plenty of paintings in my shop for sale. Shipping is free within the USA, if you purchase art directly from me. I also sell originals & prints on eBay and Etsy.
As always, if you want to say hello or have any questions you can write me here. I love getting email, and hearing from you.
