Day 18 of 30 Day Creative Gathering

I’m back to the Zorn palette again. For the longest time (probably 10 years), red and burnt orange were my favorite colors to use in my portrait paintings, so it feels like I’m going backwards in time a bit.

I will be toning this one down once I add in highlights. You’ll be seeing this gender neutral person again soon.

This is a piece I did back in 2007 or ’08. I love this painting, and I thought I had lost it forever. I was looking for a painting that sold this morning, and I couldn’t believe that I found this one in a box full of my old artwork. YES!! I immediately scanned and edited it. Now prints are available here.

Too much whirling around in my brain to write today. I started to tell you about another new series I have in mind, and ended up deleting everything I wrote at least three times. So, until I can wrap my brain around what I’m doing, I’m just going to remain quiet.
