Pink tonal portrait painting
and the palette I used to paint it
I started filming myself painting once again, and hope to revive my neglected youtube channel soon. It’s been 4 months since I last uploaded, and I’ve been missing the filming process.
To get back into the swing of things, I’m aiming for a daily Youtube upload for the month of May. Yeah, I’m finally going to do it. I’ve talked about it long enough, but I decided that with everything else I have going on, painting/filming/editing/uploading daily would be too overwhelming. So, I started filming already, and I’m going to take the next few weeks to ease into it.
If you haven’t subscribed to my channel yet, what are you waiting for? I have lots of painting videos already uploaded there, like this one..
It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 months since I finished the 365 daily painting project. It’s taken me quite a while to recover from it. I’m still feeling burnt out from the daily grind. Yet, I miss being so disciplined at the same time. Life keeps getting in the way, and my time in the studio has been lacking. I’m hoping that by committing to a daily video upload in May, it will get me back on track somewhat.
Suppah Time
I painted the butcher block about 6 weeks ago,
and what a difference it’s made.
You’ll have to imagine what it looks like painted white
because I don’t have a photo of it.
It is what it is

Ending soon, along with other paintings!

I titled this one “The INTJ Stare”

Acrylic orange tonal portrait painting
I used the same reference photo for all of these tonal portraits. It’s challenging to paint with one color. For some reason, I think I do best with the color blue.

Sweet Pea looks like she has a forked tongue in this photo.
I hope you were able to get outside last week, and see the last super moon of the year. It was quite spectacular.
This will probably be all you’ll hear from me this week.
My calendar is booked solid for the next several days.
