Happy National Watermelon day!
This is a holiday I hold close to my heart. 🙂
We always have watermelon in the house during the summer months.
Always!
This girl eating watermelon portrait painting has been sold.
Small to large prints are available here.
It’s been too hot to sit out on the back porch, and I miss hanging out there. :/ I know the cats do, too.
I spent hours in the kitchen yesterday prepping, and baking food to freeze. Why I want to spend all this time in the kitchen when it’s a billion degrees (105F) outside, I have no idea. I feel this strong need to nest, and take care of myself. I’m not sure why, but I’m just going to go with the flow.
So, I chopped up two large baking sheets full of broccoli with onions and spices, and 3 spaghetti squash. Baked it all for about 50 minutes. Then, I added caramelized onions and tomatoes to the squash before freezing. Now I have several sandwich baggies full of veggies that I can pop out for lunch or dinner. I basically live on broccoli and spaghetti squash, so this will make my life so much easier. I don’t have to stop and cook. Ah, yes, I LOVE me some rest time, so I can catch up on life.
I’ve declared tonight a studio night. I just woke up from a long nap, so I hope to get a lot of paintings revised later. I tried painting early this morning, but wasn’t feeling it..wasn’t feeling well, I should say. Am better now, so it’s off to work I go.
