This is one of my favorite art journal pages that I’ve created recently. I usually like the pages that look incomplete the best.

30 day creative gathering – my friend Sheila has started a FB group for a 30 day creative challenge in September. Here’s what Sheila wrote on her blog, “No rules. Just make something each day for a month. Paint, draw, sketch, shoot photos. Just do the thing you do, and share it in our Facebook group. This does not mean you have to complete a painting each day. You can share works in progress. The main thing is to get busy doing, that which you love doing!“

I’m all signed up. September is usually a super busy month for me, so I’m not sure how much I’ll participate, but I didn’t want to miss out on the fun. If I can’t post every day, I’m thinking I can at least cheer other artists on from the sidelines. Join us!! 

What I’m watching: A nearly fatal accident left this man with one arm, but he turned his trauma into art..mini (5 min) documentary. I’ve been FB/IG friends with Matt Sesow, and his wife, Dana Ellyn, for many years now. I’ve always greatly admired their artwork. They’re both so inspirational to me. 

What I’m listening to: Julian Merrow Smith on the Savvy Painter podcast. I’ve followed Julian’s work for years, also. He was one of the early daily painters I found online long before I started painting every day. Amazing artist!
