We learned to be patient observers like the owl. We learned cleverness from the crow, and courage from the jay, who will attack an owl ten times its size to drive it off its territory. But above all of them ranked the chickadee because of its indomitable spirit.

Some paintings seem to slip away into the finished pile, and then off to storage without much notice. Oops! I almost forgot about this one, and I don’t know how it’s possible because I love her sweet connection with the chickadee bird. Aw!

What I’m reading – Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope 

This book is soooo good. I started reading it last night, and didn’t want to put it down. Can’t wait to get my work done today, so I can read some more. It’s one of those type of books where the author acknowledges the reader, and it’s as if he’s having a casual conversation with you in person.
