I have an obsession with bald women and oil paint

just messing around..
that’s the beauty of art journals
you can do whatever you want, and
you never have to show anybody.

 

 

I’m afraid I’ve fallen deeply in love with oils. I never thought it would happen because I tried them, and wasn’t that fond of them. But, with everything, especially paint, you have to try and try some more. Once or twice isn’t enough. Painting and being an artist is for a lifetime. I often say I will never retire, and I won’t..I will be doing this as long as I’m physically able. So, I’m not one to give something a whirl and give up. Good thing because now..I LOVE oil paint, and I never want to use acrylics again. Oh, wait..that’s probably not a good thing because I have just about enough acrylic paint to last me for the next 2 years. lol Okay, not really..but I did go on a buying spree not too long ago, and I have a bucket full of paint, not to mention shelves full, too. So, I’ll have to switch over to oils gradually, I guess.

 

I don’t know what my obsession is with painting bald women, but that’s all I’ve been painting for 2 days now. I don’t think these ladies would look good with hair. I like them better this way. Bald is beautiful.
