Quick post for Wednesday!!

Remember when I said my windows downstairs are super old, and it’s like looking through a coke bottle? This photo is a good example. Kinda trippy, eh? 😀
I have made a decision on the theme I’m going to do for 30 paintings in 30 days coming up in January. I decided I’m not going to have a theme. hahaha Yup, no theme this time!! I want to be free to choose what I want to do in the moment. I’m going to be spontaneous! It might be a journal page, a large painting, a collage painting, an abstract painting or a small 4×4 inch painting. It might be a serious portrait or a raw, primitive one. I may decide to paint like a child for 30 days, and stop taking myself or this painting challenge so seriously. Now, that would be FUN!! Who knows? I will decide each day, so it will be a surprise, even to me.

Leslie encourages Buy Now buttons, but this time around I won’t have any. I don’t want to feel rushed to paint sellable paintings every day. I think painting 30 paintings in 30 days is confining enough without adding more pressure, especially at the start of a new year. And, who knows? This time around I might want to keep allllll the paintings for meeeeeeself.
