I’m taking a little hiatus

Our first year wedding anniversary was Friday. Greg took the day off to spend it with me. Aw..sweet, isn’t he? He even baked me a gluten free (rice flour) chocolate cake. Yum!! He also gave me a digital picture frame that he loaded up with photos from our first year together. Totally romantic!! Sigh. Eight years together, and he still sweeps me off my feet. Guess I’ll keep him around for a while longer. 😉

 

So, I kinda got off track doing the art every day month challenge. I kinda wish I hadn’t started doing it. I hate to not finish something I’ve started, but I’ve got too much going on to focus on the challenge.

 

It’s not that I’m slacking creatively. I’m working my fingers to the bone, but it’s not anything I can show you or blog about at this time. I’m knee deep in building a new website with a shopping cart, so my artwork will be available directly through me. You won’t have to email me for a price. The price will be there, and you’ll be able to pay for it with a credit card or with your Paypal balance. I’m doing this because as I said before, my future with Etsy is uncertain. I don’t know how long I’ll be there. If nothing changes drastically come January, and I’m still making sales, I’ll stay. I need to be prepared no matter what my decision is, tho. I figure I’ll want to leave Etsy some day..so, no matter if it’s soon or far into the future, I’ll be ready.

 

 

It’s a great deal of work to get a shopping cart set up, and to build a website from scratch. I think I know how I want it to look, and then I change my mind. Eerg. I really need some time away from painting, FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and blogging to have a chance to get the new site up and running. So, I’m taking a little blogging hiatus. I won’t be gone too long, promise. I just need a few days to concentrate without feeling obligated to paint, just so I can have something to blog about. lol I’ll be back.
