Day 301

It is we who move through time, not the reverse. When we walk beyond any one of life’s instants, it becomes nothing more than a receding milestone. We can look back, but we cannot retrace our steps. The past remains stationary, while we are doomed to move ever onwards. To do otherwise is against nature.

I think this is the 4th time I’ve shown a progress shot of this painting. I need to wrap this up soon, but eh. I’m not in any hurry. Some paintings take more time than others, and I prefer to keep painting until I like it. I’m not there yet. It will be finished when it’s finished, and not until.  

Keep moving. Don’t stop. But don’t rush.
Don’t race around.
