1 step forward 3 back
I enjoy the spring more than the autumn now. One does, I think, as one gets older.
Virginia Woolf

This is so true. I can’t imagine creating for the sole purpose of “show and sell”. There has to be deeper reasons to dedicate a lifetime to art besides ego and/or paying the bills.
I keep a huge percentage of my art private for many reasons.
1. I paint and draw A LOT. If I posted every painting & art journal page I make, I’d have to post here several times a day, and nobody has time for that.
2. For me, it’s simply enough that I made it, I don’t require more from my personal art than the satisfaction it brought me to create it.
3. I like to think of the art I make for myself as a gift I’m giving to myself. I don’t generally share gifts other people give me, so why would I share the gifts I give myself?

My artwork is available on Daily Paintworks, Etsy, and eBay.
You can also find me on pinksky & blsky, where I post multiple times a day.
I’ve also been posting notes here on Substack in between these longer posts.
Feel free to subscribe, comment, share or like any of my posts.
May you be well, happy and peaceful.
