First off, loved the finished piece. Second, you are going to hate this but I love wearing flip flops. They are my go-to shoe when I’m not running and when the weather gets cold I wear them with socks, which my kids think is an absolute abomination, so I really enjoyed reading this. Also, pink is a top three color for me. I really enjoyed reading this and looking at the artwork. Thank you.

Noooooo, please don't tell me this is true. We can not be friends now, sorry, Ric. hahahaha 🤣 😂 Actually, you sound exactly like my husband a few years ago, but then he got an injury from wearing flip flops, and lucky for me, threw them away. Be careful wearing them. They can really mess up your Achilles tendon. He was also a runner, who lived in flip flops. He ended up having to wear a boot for 6 months, and came close to having surgery. Three years later he's still dealing with it on and off. Or at least that's what he tells me, when he doesn't want to mow the lawn anyway. hahahaha

I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s injury. I’ll be careful. I’ll admit I’ve had a few close calls moving furniture in my flip flops. Fortunately it was the flip flops that got more injured than I did. Honestly, I think it’s a sensory issue with me. I’m very claustrophobic and don’t like to wear anything that feels too restrictive, and shoes feel like they are squeezing my feet. I’d prefer to be barefoot, but flip flops are the next best thing.

Oh, he didn't have an accident. It was an injury just from wearing them. It caused permanent damage.

Like, did he get hurt just from wearing them over time? If so, I may need to rethink my life. I like to run so I can’t afford to damage my feet.

Yeah, wearing flip flops caused the damage. He keeps having to deal with it reoccurring, and no, he can't run anymore. He can't even go on his daily walks when he gets a flareup. Last week he was running late, and jogged back to work, and he's been in pain ever since. He asked me yesterday if I knew where his medical boot is because he feels he needs it again. UGH. So yes, do be careful and don't overdo it. He used to push himself too much, imo.
