Revising Oil Portrait Painting with Oil Pastels
Last summer I started going through a box of older 6×6 oil portraits, and picked out some I wanted to revise with oil pastels. These portraits are roughly 10 years old, and hadn’t sold, so it was time to change them up a bit.
I need to get back to doing this because I kinda forgot about this little project.
I had planned on revising at least one of these each week, but the heat from summer slowed me down to a crawl.
Don’t Let Anything Stop You
6×6 oil & oil pastel portrait painting
I see the irony in the title of this painting. I let the summer heat stop me from revising more of these paintings. In my defense, I titled this one years ago, but I find it amusing that I didn’t take my own advice. I could’ve had the entire box revised by now. Oh, well. Maybe soon? 🙃
