Yours Truly No 16
These paintings were all made from my imagination, not reference photos. They were all living inside my head a short while ago, until they began to bang on the walls inside their cage, and rattled the bars loudly. I took the noise only as long as I could, and then I released them all out onto the paper. They are free now, and so am I. It’s suddenly much quieter inside my head. Whew!

The growth of the imagination demands windows - windows through which we can look out at the world and windows through which we can look into ourselves. The old stories were windows in just this way.

New find: The World Needs More Love Letters - this is such a beautiful project. I can’t believe it took me so long to find out about it. If you’re into writing old fashion, handwritten letters that you send through the mail, you’ll love this. You can also nominate someone to receive letters.
I’ve tried to find something similar that is more art related, instead of writing, but I haven’t found anything yet. I’m thinking that sending a small piece of art along with a short note, instead of a letter, would be fine. It doesn’t say you can’t, so I’ll give it a try. If anyone knows of a project like this that’s centered more around art, please let me know.
