I’m so happy to be back here blogging again today. 🙂 I think I’m finally over the whole moving house/adjusting to new city painting slump I’ve been in for the past six month. I’m truly back in the studio, not just making a half ass attempt like I have done several times since December. This time I feel it in my bones, and I KNOW I’m back because I can’t stop, won’t stop!! Woo! lol 

I’ve been creating non-stop, and feeling incredibly energetic – going to bed super late because I’m still working at 2am, and waking up super early (5am). Baaaack in the zone!! Heck yeah!

If you’re wondering how I got myself out of my painting slump, I challenged myself to upload a video every day last month on Youtube. Although I dragged my feet the entire time, and wasn’t painting at my best, especially on my portrait channel, the flood gates finally let go. I feel like myself again, focussed on my art, and my brain is flooded with ideas for new paintings. I’ve painted some portraits I really love lately, which is saying a lot..I only painted one portrait last month that I liked, but I kept trodding along regardless. Now, I’m in full steam ahead mode once again. Yay!! 

This little bird was so fun to paint, and it’s one of my favorites from palette knife paintings last month. I haven’t decided if I’m going to offer it for sale yet or if I’ll be keeping it for myself. I am offering small to large prints of it here, tho. 🙂

Why the Pomodoro is failing you – I tend to agree. I have the app, and some days it seems to work well for me, but other days, not so much. I find myself working through the breaks, but it’s distracting because I have to keep resetting the timer. 

These series kept coming up as recommended videos for me to watch on YT..can’t wait to watch them all.
