I had this whole blog post written, in which I complained about the hot weather we’re having, being locked indoors, having cabin fever, and feeling the summertime blues. But, I’ve decided not to post it. I’ll let my painting speak for me, instead.

If you’re living, as I am, with a roof over your head, food in your belly, and nothing tragic has happened to you today, this week, or even this entire year, then your life truly is beautiful, yeah? So, hush now, voice inside my head. You’ve got no right to speak negatively to me today.
