Crayola oil pastels are as awesome as
Blackbean says they are, gurrrrl.
Had to try them for myself,
and oh, my!
Really impressed.
I can see why these are his favorite.

Crossed out because I wasn’t feeling it,
but not blocked out completely
because I like to keep my options open.

The colors of these pastels are quite vivid, and rich. I haven’t had a chance to spend a lot of time messing around with them, but so far, I love them. I’m not an expert by any means when it comes to oil pastels. Basically, I use them to make marks and layers in my work. I don’t sit down and draw something with them, but I like how they’re creamy, but not too creamy. And, not too waxy, which I was afraid they might be. Crayola will probably be my go-to brand for oil pastels now, also.
I have some other Crayola art supplies that are meh – definitely okay for kids, but didn’t work well for me. These pastels are different. They don’t feel like a cheap art supply made for kids. I highly recommend them, and will be buying more.
