If you didn’t see last week’s post, this is what I wrote about this portrait – I created this piece while in a calm, meditative state of mind. I was thinking about the beauty of being peaceful within, and the importance of finding stillness in a busy world.

I wanted this painting to serve as a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, we can always find a moment of tranquility, if we take the time to look for it within ourselves.

If you give peace any thought, you’ll realize that within your heart is the only place you’ll find it.

Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.
