This new abstract painting made me feel brand new again. Firstly, switching from a tiny 4×4 inches to 16×20 was magically. I have missed my large canvas. Secondly, reconnecting with my knives, and the lighter side of my personality means everything to me right now. I feel like a kid on Christmas break, “wide awake”, and excitedly looking forward to each and every day. 😀

As much as I love painting portraits, I doubly love letting loose, and not having to abide by any rules. The eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and hair go where? Nowhere in this painting! Now, scat! haha

I decided to revise this painting this week. Below is the before photo, and above is what it looks like now.

Something a little different today because sometimes I make snap decisions, and this is what happens when I do. So, I painted this one back in 2009, I think. It’s been hanging on my bedroom wall ever since. I listed it on Etsy, and it got a little attention..a few likes, treasuries, and whatnot. It didn’t sell, tho. The other night when I walked in my bedroom, and saw it there on the wall, I knew I had to revise it. I immediate took it down, and the next morning, it went upstairs with me to the studio. I liked it before, but I like it more now.
