30 in 30 is once again history, and I’m very happy to say I completed the challenge. 🙂 I started out thinking I would paint flowers the entire 30 days, but I ended up finishing out with birds, instead. Tomorrow I’ll be posting all 30 paintings in a collage, and that will be it. Done! Whew!
Here the last of the Would You Rather questions. I hope you got to know me better over the past 30 days. My husband said he did. bahahahaha He’s really gotta stop stalking me. 😉
If you’re not busy tonight, be sure to turn into Criminal Minds on CBS. You just might see my art there. Woohoo!!
1. Would you rather be a dog named Killer or a cat named Fluffy?
Fluffy. Cats rule.
2. Would you rather always wear earmuffs or a nose plug?
I like to breathe.
3. Would you rather always lose or never play?
always lose, although it would get pretty old after a while.

I make art for one person and one person only. And as soon as I find that one person, I sure hope he has a lot of wall space, because he’ll be getting a lot of art from me. -Jarod Kintz
heehee..and I sure hope that happens soon because I’ve got paintings coming out my ears. 🙂

Here are my Would You Rather questions, so you can get to know me better during this 30 in 30 challenge..
1. Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never speak again?
Although it would be extremely difficult, I would pick never speak again..because I could always write what I need to say. I don’t think anyone could deal with me saying everything on my mind. haha Noooooo!!
2. Would you rather always get first dibs or the last laugh?
first dibs
3. Would you rather have a missing finger or have an extra toe?
extra toe. fingers are too important.

Draw the art you want to see, start the business you want to run, play the music you want to hear, write the books you want to read, build the products you want to use – do the work you want to see done. -Austin Kleon
My husband and I were talking about the 30/30 challenge last night, and he said he can tell I’m running out of steam because I started out writing long blog posts, but now, nothing. haha He’s right. The high energy I had when I first started the 30/30 challenge is long gone, and now all I can think about is taking a day or two off to recharge. I’m such an introvert at heart.
Here are my Would You Rather questions, so you can get to know me better during this 30 in 30 challenge..
1. Would you rather c
2. Would you rather h

3. Would you rather b

The role of the artist is to ask questions, not answer them.

Would you rather questions continue..
1. Would you rather spend 48 hours straight in a public restroom or spend the next two month taking only public transportation.
I don’t mind public transportation. Public restrooms, not so much.
2. Would you rather be too hot or too cold?
Too cold, most definitely.
3. Would you rather be able to eat anything and any quantity of food with no negative health effects, or be refreshed and well rested after only three hours of sleep?
I’ll have everything on the dessert menu, please.

Well, here we go! A brand new month, and a new 30 paintings in 30 days challenge has begun. This will be my 5th time doing the challenge, and as always, I’m pretty excited to start. This yellow flower painting was painted with palette knives on 90 lb arches watercolor paper. The original painting is not for sale at this time because I love it, and I’m not ready to let it go yet. Maybe some day?
If you’re coming from Leslie’s blog, hello, and welcome! There’s a signup below to subscribe to my blog. You can have my blog posts delivered right to your email box every time I post. I’d love for you to stick around after the 30 in 30 is over.
I thought I’d make the next 30 days a little more fun, and let you get to know me better by answering some would you rather questions each day. So here goes..
1. Would you rather spend one year sailing around the world or one year living in the heart of London?
Sailing would be cool, but I pick living in London. I think not seeing land for days on end would get to me after a while.
2. Would u rather have a permanent smile or non-stopping tears?
Permanent smile
3. Would you rather stay in a luxury hotel free of charge for one year or have a chauffeur driven limousine free of charge for one year?
I would LOVE a chauffeur. LOVE one!! I always joke with my husband saying when I make it big, the first thing I’m going to do is hire a chauffeur. I would love to go wherever I want, and not have to drive.

Today I’ve been listening to a Howie Day live concert while reading this article about Juliana Coles. I’ve always greatly admired Juliana’s raw journaling work. Here’s a quote that will surely have you clicking the link to read the rest of the article..“I lovingly tape up wounds just to tear them apart again and again and reglue and retape … mending, tending, healing, transforming … I am not attached to the outcome: I am committed to the process.”
Day 6 of 30 paintings in 30 days
A list of seven things in no particular order..
Reading: The Goldfinch (still. It’s long, and I don’t get much time to read)
Watching: How to Sell Art | Tips and Tricks
Listening to: Paint Mixing Mix
Eating: homemade organic coconut ice cream
Needing: nothing
Wanting: a studio helper who will do all the online work for me, including blogging, so I can take more naps. haha I’m such a dreamer.
Loving: the thought of fall coming soon. I’ve been noticing how the light has changed in the past couple weeks. Nightfall is tucking us all in an hour earlier these days. I couldn’t be happier.
