Today is my day off of sorts. I had breakfast with my son this morning. I made gf belgium waffles (rice flour instead of wheat/white because I’m Celiac) with bananas, and real maple syrup. mmm..so good! I could eat them all day, errry day.
Now I have to clean the house in preparation for our Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. I’d rather do it while my husband is at work because he’s afraid of the vacuum. He always runs and hides when I turn it on, and I’d rather not frighten him if I can help it. 😉
I started to look forward to my house cleaning chores when I found out how many calories it burns, so I’m not going to complain. That waffle I ate will be burned off in no time. Positive thinking is most important on days like this. ha! Vacuum, steam mop, sponges&soapy water, and dirty dishes in the sink, don’t start without me. Here I come!! I have to hurry, so I can get some studio time in later this afternoon.

I’ve been in denial about something for a long time now. I have decided to embrace it, and make a confession here on my blog. Ready?
There! I said it.
They say as you get older you revert back to your childhood..or is that when you get dementia? I’m confused. Anyhow, when I was a kid, pink was always my favorite color. I had a pink bedroom from the time I was 6 or 7 years old until I moved out of my mother’s house. I think the second the door shut behind me, my mother grabbed a paint can, and painted the walls white..her favorite (and now mine, too), but that’s another story. Now, many years later, I find myself drawn to pink once again. The blue, green, purple paintings don’t give me the same warm fuzzy feeling as the pink ones do.
I try not to take it too seriously because I’ve been here a time or two before. I remember thinking red was my favorite color 10 years ago, and then it was orange. Now pink. hm..well, at least I stick with warm colors. I wonder what that says about me?
Stay tuned for more pink painting to come. I’ll try to mix other colors in there just for you, but I must say, if I was painting strictly for me, they’d alllll be pink.
