Free Little Art Galleries – it works like the free library boxes that people have built in neighborhoods, but this is for art. How fun! Is there one near you? Check out the map to see.
Cartoonist Al Jaffee passed away. There are some laugh out loud moments in this article, so I recommend reading it. What an amazing brain he had for doing those fold-ins on the back cover..I can’t imagine working like that. I would be frazzled within seconds.
Kieran Culkin Bares (a Lot of) His Soul – this goes along with what I’ve been watching. I never pass up reading an interview with Kieran or any of the cast from Succession, and this is a well-written, descriptive piece.
Books:
Five Tuesdays in Winter by Lily King – this is a book of short stories. I instantly fell in love with her writing style, and will be reading more of her books.
Buy-ology by Martin Lindstrom – I’m listening to this audiobook because I like to have a mixture of fiction and nonfiction going on at the same time.
The Guest List by Lucy Foley – I started this one yesterday afternoon, and I’m about 100 pages in. I don’t think I’ve got to the good part yet, but I think there will come a point when I can’t put this book down – at least that’s what I’m hoping will happen. It’s a slow character buildup, and lots of hint dropping. Not riveting, but I like it.
Watching:
The final season of Succession on HBO..we caught up last week, so we can watch when they drop new episodes Sunday nights. Spoilers have been difficult to avoid. Oh, wow, Ep 3, eh?! Phenomenal acting by all, Sarah Snook, especially, and then Ken last night. Ha! Not surprised. I think this show could go on for many more seasons. Can’t imagine how they’ll wrap it up in just 6 more episodes.
