This is what my work table looked like before I scraped it down, and painted over it with white paint..which is something I do every couple months to keep it clean, and bright.

Yes, I’m using an empty pickle jar for my paint water.

Helpful hint..if you ever want to get a food smell out of an empty jar, just put a few drops of vanilla (the kind you cook with) in it. You can put the vanilla on a cotton ball, if you have one. Close the lid, and shake it up. Let it sit for a day or so, and presto! Whatever food smell that was in there will be gone. Wash the jar, and use.
