B&W mixed media
portrait painting
Gouache & acrylics
I started out thinking I was painting a man with a beard, but that soon changed.
I’m not sure why I decided to shorten the chin, and do away with the beard & stripped shirt. I usually make these type of decisions quickly in the moment. I don’t take time to think about it, I just do whatever pops into my head.
This painting isn’t for sale, but others are available in my shop.
Also, my giclee prints are available again on Daily Paintworks. I was able to get my new Mac set up, and retrieve all my high resolution images & files off of Time Machine from my external drive. Whew! That sure saved me a lot of work, and a huge headache. Now maybe I can get back to painting, and stop fussing with all these computer issues. Gah! It’s been a long 3 weeks, and I miss my art journal.

What I’m watching on Youtube:
Jade van der Mark – REFLECT / RECONNECT – LOVE her portraits. She also has a website.
Gloria Landenberger – MEDITATION / CLARITY – As young as 8 or 9, Gloria developed a passion for creating little ornamental ships out of paper. Showcasing pieces as small as a grain of rice, her dream was to create the smallest ship in the entire world.
What I’m reading:
The Moonflowers: A Novel by Abigail Rose-Marie – this is a free Amazon First Reads book for August. It’s not going to be on my list of favorite books, but it’s hard to put down at the same time. I keep flipping pages to see where it’s all headed. Will probably finish it today.
Thanks for stopping by.
