Since the covid numbers continue to rage (800-1000+ new cases a day with jumps to almost 2000 some days), I’m still not leaving the house. I’ve been alternating between working, meditating, watching Buddhist monk videos on YT (this is truly what gets me through the day. Thank you, bhantes for your generous offerings), Netflix and reading.
Recently, I started creating a new outsider art series. My plan for this series is to tap into my imagination, emotions, and spontaneity. I want the pieces to resemble my art journal pages – loose, raw, unpolished, in the moment, sometimes playful, and fun. Most of all, I want each one to tell a story, and be relatable to someone out there. You’ll have to read the descriptions and/or titles to find out more about each one.
Her eyebrows say it all.
She’s weary.
She’s tired of it.
She’s wants that rascal gone for good.
Within these pieces are glimpses into moments of my private life, and/or those around me. Sometimes I get ideas from a book I’m listening to while I’m painting or maybe something I saw on the screen last night resonated with me.

Up Your Nose With a Rubber Hose
haha..I haven’t heard this saying since I was a young kid out on the playground, but it all of a sudden popped into my head the other day while I was painting this piece. I LOVE when stuff like that happens.
These are all ORIGINAL pieces, not prints. Bidding starts at $15.00 on most of them. Right now, I’m working on 4×4 chipboard. I don’t love the size, but I’m trying to use up a stack of chipboard I have lying around. When the chipboard is gone, I’m going to switch to construction and watercolor paper with slightly bigger sizes.
