Because of the pandemic going on, I’ve gone back and forth a million times in my head on how to proceed going forward. Should I keep painting and blogging right now or do I take a step back, and give it a rest?
We’re being told the worst is yet to come. It almost feels selfish of me to keep doing what I love, even though painting is my full-time job, and a valuable stream of income.
But then the thought occurred to me..if I can brighten just one person’s day with my flower paintings or make someone smile when they see one of my silly portrait paintings, then I should definitely keep doing what I’m doing. If I can contribute to the good in the world why should I stop?
As we self-isolate, I think it’s important to stay connected. The best way I know how to connect with people online is through my work.
So, for now, I’m going to carry on, and keep doing what I do – painting, blogging, and offering my work for sale.
Since I can’t leave the house, I’ve been ramping up my studio time, and blog posts this week. I’m probably going to continue to blog daily for a while. I’ve also been thinking of filming Youtube videos again. We’ll see.

I sincerely hope these cheery farmhouse style flowers, which were painted with love, will brighten up someone’s life and room during this difficult time, and forever after that.
I hope you all are feeling well, and that you stay healthy until this runs its course. The sun is finally out here after what seems like forever. I’m going to wash my bedsheets, and hang them on the line outside. I can’t wait to smell their outdoorsy freshness when I get into bed tonight. It’s the little things, y’all. Have the best Thursday you can. I’ll see you tomorrow.
