Find My Way To You
Mixed media collage portrait
Prints are available here
This is a long time favorite of many people. Whenever I list this print for sale, I get lots of messages asking if the original painting is for sale. Unfortunately, as with all original paintings, there was only one, and it sold many years ago. There’s no way I could ever make one similar because of the collage paper beneath the paint. It just wouldn’t be the same, so it is what it is.
I also can’t go any larger on the size of the print because of the equipment I had to work with at the time. I had a really crappy scanner that I never used, so the print image is from my dslr camera. The image is smaller than what I can make today with my scanner, so that’s why I have smaller print sizes listed on these older paintings.
Balance
Prints available here
Balance was my word for the year many years ago, and I painted this painting as a reminder. My thinking was – the chickadees can sit in a row on a wire, and keep their life in balance, certainly I can do the same. hahaha Good thing I have a sense of humor because I failed miserably.
Even after all these years later, I still can’t seem to balance work and life very well. I’m always working waaaay more than I’m living, and I’m always struggling hard to find a balance.
I think it’s just how this artist lifestyle goes..it’s feast or famine. I’m either swamped with custom and/or licensed work behind the scenes or it’s absolutely dead. When it’s dead, I have to hustle to sell to keep paying the bills. Very rarely are there happy mediums with this lifestyle, nor is there a light at the end of the tunnel..until death do us part – it’s go go goooo.
Manners Mean Nothing
Pale pastel portrait painting
Prints available here
And last but not least, I chose this pale pastel portrait to bring back as a print. I have absolutely NO idea how I created this one, but I keep studying it to try to figure it out. Ahh..I think I remember – watercolors!!
Have a lovely peaceful Wednesday, y’all.
