I would love to press pause right now because time is moving along much too quickly. However, I’m no VCR (remember those? still have one in my studio), so I won’t even try. haha If only I had superpowers, tho..I think that’s how I would use it. S l o w i t t h e h e c k d o w n a l r e a d y. I wasn’t kidding when I said time has sped up since I started painting daily. Gah. Even though I’ve painted ahead of my blog, it’s still a daily challenge to get into the studio, and keep ahead of schedule. The days sure do zip by at a rapid rate of speed. Whoosh!
Stole this from Denthe’s blog post.
Just so I don’t forget the promise I made to myself back in July
to make art everyday.
This is not the time to lose focus.
I’m working on a mini handmade book that I hope to show you next time. I needed a teeny tiny break from the portraits to raise a raucous with abstracts again. I know, such a rebel.

And, lastly, here’s what I’ve been watching lately..
Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang – Didn’t expect to, but I loved this one. Kept my fingers crossed for this artist through the entire documentary.
Buster Mal’s Heart – I like weird/quirky/indie movies the most, and this one was definitely that.
Chasing Coral – This one made me sad. :/
Over the weekend I hope to watch Queen Mimi with my husband. I’ve already seen it, but he hasn’t. It’s one that touched my heart, so I don’t mind watching it again. It’s a documentary about an 80 something year old homeless woman named Marie Haist, who lived in a Santa Monica laundromat for 18 years. This one also made me sad, and left me with so many unanswered questions. Maybe I’ll find answers if I watch it again?
