This little girl said enough drawing, Mom! 😻😹😺❤️
The page on the left was created with acrylic markers. I haven’t used markers to do an entire drawing since I was a kid. I was in a minimalist mood, and only brought a pencil and markers with me at the time.
Watercolor figure painting
It’s nice to have fancy art supplies, but sometimes I get overwhelmed when there are too many options sitting in front of me. So, I’ll take a handful of watercolor tubes or oil pastels with me, and leave my studio. If I want to challenge myself, I’ll grab some without looking at the colors.
Having less supplies gives me fewer choices. I know if I only have oil pastels with me that I’m going to draw. Or if I have watercolors, I’m going to paint. Simple.
Start where you are is something I say to myself allll the time. Use what you have on hand – it doesn’t take a studio full of expensive art supplies to create something.

I’m currently on hiatus from creating new work to sell, but there are plenty of paintings in my shop for sale. Shipping is free within the USA, if you purchase art directly from me. I also sell originals & prints on eBay and Etsy. You can get some great deals on my weekly eBay auctions and/or on some of my flash sales I have on Etsy. As always, if you want to say hello or have any questions you can write me here. I love getting email, and hearing from you. Other places to find me online.
