Emotional Response
Since I’ve been overloaded on the creative end lately, and I want to avoid burnout, I decided to take some time off.
Taking a break has been refreshing, but also a bit challenging. I’ve been faced with that old question, and the uncomfortable feeling of what do I dooooo if I’m not working? Ack!
Her Protection Is Deeply Layered
I decided to embrace having downtime, and have been recharging my creative battery with some books. The first is The Norman Rockwell Treasury. It’s a large hardcover book. I’m about 1/4 of the way through reading it.
I also started reading a Shirley Jackson book called We Have Always Lived in a Castle, which my son recommended to me. I was able to find it on my library app. Be sure to check your library app if you want to read it.

I also found this live hummingbird nest cam, and it’s fascinating to watch Olive sitting on her eggs. She’s so precious. The craftsmanship of her tiny nest is mind blowing – so soft on the inside, and sturdy on the out. I hope I’m watching when her babies hatch. From what I read it only takes 2 or 3 weeks, so any day now.

The Crosby kids got a new puppy – so cute!
Linda Marcille started a patreon about a month ago, which I signed up for because I love her art. I’ve also been watching her Youtube videos.
Uncomfy – I found this clay artist (Tammy Dinh) a couple months ago, and even though I don’t work with clay I’ve been addicted to her videos ever since. Who Am I Without My Work is her latest.

I noticed that a couple of these portraits are in someone’s cart on Etsy, so they might not be around long. At the moment, they’re still available, unless marked otherwise.
I hope you have a lovely week ahead.
