Today is very special because it’s my son’s birthday. The day he was born was the best day of my life because that was the day I learned how to love unconditionally. Happy birthday to my baby!! You’ll always be baby to me.

Yesterday was a super exciting day. I can now add “licensed artist” to my resume. I signed a contract with a licensing company, and soon my artwork will be in stores worldwide. !!! :))) I’ll tell you more when I know more. Stay tuned.

This is my favorite painting so far this month. I was going to keep all my paintings one size during this challenge, but a larger canvas was calling to me. I couldn’t help myself. This one is 11×14 inches. I can picture it hanging in a dining room or kitchen, but for now it’s in my office.

I wish my camera could pick up the texture of the paint better. It’s thick and luscious, but it’s hard to see it in these photos.

I think I have my blog fixed. I sure hope so because I worked on it all day today. Had to reinstall the theme, and then tweak it to my liking again. What a pain. Crossing fingers that it will post tonight on schedule.

Day 18 of 30/30

I liked doing highlights of the day yesterday, so I’m doing it again today. I might make it a daily thing when I have nothing else to blog about. Here you go..

1. I slept 12 hours last night. !!! I was exhausted, but I feel really great today. 🙂

2. Went for a drive, and took a couple photos that I might use as reference for paintings. Still want to try plein air painting, I looked for some quiet spots to maybe pull out my travel easel and paint. It’s hot again, tho..95F today. Meh. It is looking slightly like fall around here. The corn husks have turned brown.. from the bright sun, not because it’s cold. Still, it’s a start.

3. Popcorn for dinner.

I’m not sure why my blog posts weren’t showing up the past couple days. I could see them when I was logged in, but for some reason, if I wasn’t logged in, it looked like I hadn’t posted anything since the 14th. If I clicked on a link from 30/30 or FB, I could see the posts, logged in or not. Really strange. It took me about 6 hours of tweaking this and that. I still don’t know what was wrong, but it seems to be working again. I hope.

Edit: okay, it didn’t post again tonight. It’s something to do with my theme, so I’m using another one until I get a chance to look at it tomorrow. It’s late, and I’m going to bed.

Three highlights of my day:

1. Got a text saying that Californication is back on Netflix!! It’s about time!! I feel like I’ve got to marathon watch it quick before it disappears again. :/ I’m on season 5, but I’m thinking about starting over from the beginning since it’s been so long since I’ve seen it.

2. Got a series of ten floral paintings finished for Artscape in SC, which is coming up next month. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to pull it off because I have a lot of other stuff going on, but I did. Whew! Now I just have to sign the contract, and mail them off sometime soon.

Some days I really don’t have anything worth saying. The past couple days have been like this. I’m bone tired. Do you really want to know that I stared at my computer screen for 12 hours straight, correcting tags and descriptions on my Etsy listings? Do you want to read that I drank coffee, and then switched to tea? Then, I watched (I have 2 monitors, so I can “watch” and work at the same time) 7 Youtube vlogs (LOVE daily vlogs) while editing, and then switched to 8tracks for music, and then to Netflix, but I couldn’t find anything to watch? Yeah, I know..boring, but I’m living the dream, and I’m sure you are jealous of how glamorous my artist life is. lol

I opened a Storenvy a couple weeks ago, but I am sad to say that I closed it today. I got an email yesterday stating they’re going to be using a new form of payment called Stripe, and they will be dropping Paypal completely. As much as I love being able to design my own storefront, I’m really not interested in making the switch. Honestly, I think it’s presumptuous and reckless of them to think that everyone, buyers and sellers, are going to jump over to this new company when we’ve used Paypal now for many years. But, what do I know? Maybe everyone will be happy to do it, and I’ll be the only one closing up shop.
