One (mostly) unknown thing about me: I used to be addicted to watching sports. I hardly ever catch a game anymore, but I once scheduled my days/nights around basketball, football, golf, and extreme sports. I never took my eyes off the screen during The Olympics. Just couldn’t get enough.

I dreamed of becoming a sports photographer, particularly basketball. I absolutely LOVED going to games, and taking action shots. It was so thrilling, if I got the camera settings, and shutter speed right, and sooo disappointing if I didn’t. hahaha
Shooting sports games never ended up being my job, but I did paint some cartoony people golfing, which was almost as exciting..I guess?

These original paintings are from a golf series I was asked to create for a book titled Golf Sayings by Bradford Gordon Wheler back in 2013. I’ve revised some of them since then.

These golfers were painted impasto with palette knives on chipboard. The paint is thick, and the knife marks can be seen throughout the painting. They’ve all been varnished to protect from fingerprints and dust.

Although I mostly hang out here on my own website, there are other places to find me online.
