I started writing this post last week, and kept adding to it as the days went on. I think I have quite a collection here now, and I’m happy to share my latest finds with you. I hope you enjoy.
First up is this incredible video called Wynken, Blynken and Nod by Amanda Palmer. The angelic baby in the cradle is Amanda and Neil Gaiman’s son, Ash. I’m a huge Neil Gaiman fan, having read just about every book he’s ever written. Neverwhere is one of my all time favorite books, which reminds me, I need to re-read it soon, hopefully this winter. I’ve also become a fan of Amanda’s as well, although I don’t follow her as closely as I do Neil. You can read about the making of this stunningly beautiful video here.
Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids – because who isn’t a fan of JT? This is a screen grab from the concert.
Lena Danya proves you don’t need expensive art supplies on hand to make a fabulous work of art. I don’t know how she did it because crayons are difficult to work with for sure.
Tomorrow is finally election day in America. It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve been following this closely since the start. Tomorrow, I’ll be glued to the computer and tv for hours. Tonight, I’m distracting myself for the time being. It’s time to take a break, meditate. Breathe in, breathe out. I’m listening to Tibetan Bowls & Rain Sounds. It’s a good way to zone out, and calm my racing mind. The sunlight moving across the water is addicting to watch, and right now it’s all I need.
While you’re waiting for election results, also check out, I Am Love on Netflix. It’s a quirky foreign flick that I think you’ll like. Oh, and Queen Mimi is a new release, which is a bitter sweet documentary about an 88 year old lady who lives in a laundromat. If you’re like me, it will leave you wanting to ask a lot of questions when it’s over.
