When a picture doesn’t satisfy me, I feel physical distress, as if I were ill, as if my heart wasn’t working properly, as if I couldn’t breathe, and was suffocating.
I work in a state of passion and compulsion. When I begin a canvas, I obey a physical impulse, a need to act; it’s like a physical discharge.
Of course, a canvas can’t satisfy me [immediately]. And in the beginning I feel this distress… It’s a struggle between me and what I am doing, between me and the canvas, between me and my distress. This struggle is passionately exciting to me. I work until the distress leaves me. -Joan Miró

Here are my Would You Rather questions, so you can get to know me better during this 30 in 30 challenge..
1. Would you rather whale watch or bird watch?
A. I’ve done both, and enjoyed it. It’s more practical for me to bird watch since I live on the red dot in the middle of America. I watch birds most every day out my office window.
2. Would you rather lose you sense of taste and smell or lose all of your hair?
A. Even though I have hair down past my waist, and I’d rather keep it, I’ll still say hair. Hair can grow back, but I don’t think you can grow taste.
3. Would you rather be ”just friends” with someone you love or marry an attractive person who does not love you?
A. I’d rather be just friends.
