Select a container that will be large enough for your paint. If you use a lot of colors, you’ll want a larger container. It must have a lid.
I got these in a large package at the dollar store
You’ll want your sponges really wet.
I usually add more water in the bottom on hot summer days
or really dry winter days.
It keeps the sponges extra wet.
Make sure you check the sponges every couple days to make sure they’re still wet.
Put waxed paper on top of the sponges.
Add your paint
When you’re done for the day, cover and your paint will be waiting for you when you return.
I used to paint directly from these containers, but as my painting skill advanced, I needed more room to mix paint, so I got a 9×13 inch Fredi Weber Peel-able tray from Hobby Lobby. If I have left over paint on my tray at the end of the day, I use these containers to store it.
