Maude kitty
It took me the longest time to discover her white mustache, but once I did, I can’t not see it now. Must be the artist in me.

Good reminder for a Monday, especially for all those trudging into their offices, yes?
Don’t worry. Saturday is coming.

And, kitties, too, I say.
Getting back in the swing of things. Words aren’t coming easily for me, so photos might have to do for today. I type, then delete. My brain is constipated after being away from the blog and internet for a week. Art. What’s art? Remember when I said I didn’t want to stop blogging at the end of 30 paintings in 30 days because I’d freeze up? I’m feeling pretty frosty, but I’ll trudge on. Always, always.

Follow Me
This little cutie girl showed up in our driveway this morning, meowing up a storm. I called her over to me, and she came running, as if she’d known me her whole life. I had just fed Izzie, and it was obvious that she wanted some, too. She ended up eating 3 bowls, and then she was off, in a flash. Sweet Pea has looked high and low for her, and I think she’s a little disappointed that her new friend left so quickly. Hopefully, she’ll come visit again soon.
I’ll be your mess, you be mine
That was the deal that we had signed.
Gayle Forman, Where She Went
I bought those little plastic paint containers at Dick Blick. They remind me of when I did paint by numbers in oils when I was a kid, except they’re a little bigger. I don’t suggest putting oils in them, tho. I read that oils and plastic don’t mix. These are full of acrylic paint.
bucket full of paint
Here’s a great tip for artists: You can’t really see well in this photo, but to the left of the bucket is a jar of petroleum jelly. If you use a generous amount of it on the inside rim of your paint jars and/or tube covers, the covers won’t stick.
I moved kitty onto my studio door. She kept falling off the wall, and breaking her legs. 🙁 I like her better here, anyway.

I agree with everything he says,
“Sketch, sketch, sketch. Draw, draw, draw.”
even though I’d much rather paint.
