I’m so glad I didn’t set a deadline for this 100 oil painting challenge. I can plod along as slowly or as fast as I want, without any pressure. LOVE it.

Maude and bunny

Aww..Miss Maudie usually looks so grumpy in photos, but she’s actually the sweetest and most loving little girl. She would sit on my lap all day, if I didn’t have to do stupid things like work.

What I’m watching: Buddies – haven’t finished it yet

Dead to me – finishing it up today.

David Foster: Off the Record – I was really enjoying this one. Paused it about mid-way through to go make my dinner, and when I came back a couple hours later, it was gone. I guess Netflix was cleaning house yesterday. Kinda surprised they took this one down because it was new just a couple weeks ago. Hope they bring it back so I can finish it.

This originally was an acrylic painting, but her face was flat, and cartoonish – not in a good way. I wanted to give her a bit more character, and bring her to life.

Parts of it I’m going to leave acrylic..like her bandana, and the background. I saw no point in painting over it in oils because I didn’t want to change anything, and the darker the color, the longer it takes to dry.

I thought she was finished, but now that I’m looking at the photos, I think I’m going to go in with a dry brush, and blend some of the oil paint. The brush edges look hard, and I need to soften it a bit.
