I thought I’d start the new week on a lighter note because it’s been quite somber around here lately. I don’t know if you’ve ever painted a memorial portrait of a young person before, but I’m finding it the most difficult portrait I’ve ever painted.

Life feels so heavy, and difficult right now (when does it not these days?). I need to remember to smile, and maybe you do also, so I thought I’d post more silly cat paintings. I painted these a couple months back, but don’t think I posted them here.

Silly indeed! The eyes on the first one above, reminds me of hard candy or maybe glass? I honestly have NO idea how I painted them, nor could I ever do it again.
