I found an abandoned art journal the other day, and I’m pretty sure I painted this girl with gouache. The book is from last year, and when the new year rolled around, I kinda forgot about it. I started playing in the notebook instead. This is the same journal I used to paint the boy in gouache a couple weeks back.

Most of us go through life as failures, because we are waiting for the ‘time to be right’ to start doing something worthwhile. Do not wait. The time will never be ‘just right.’ Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

We found a baby on the subway – now he’s our son – amazing story of love. Aww..
When the Pandemic’s End Means the Return of Anxiety
Artist I’m admiring: Elena Katsyura – I could sit and study her brushstrokes for hours. Amazing work. Her paintings make me think I’ve elegantly stepped backwards in time. Where did I put my Dresden lace gown, hat and gloves? Sigh.
