Oil figure painting on 11×14 canvas
Find yourself a cup of tea; the teapot is behind you. Now tell me about hundreds of things.

Happy 4th of July, y’all! I’ve never done a painting with a 4th theme before (that I remember), so I thought this is the year to change that. I kept the holiday in mind right through to the title. It’s a mixed media piece, painted in oils. If you’d like to add it to your Katie Jeanne collection or perhaps you’d like to start collecting my work, the painting is available here.
If you’re in the US, I hope you have a happy, safe 4th of July.
What I’ve been reading lately:
Make two lists – I’ve done this exercise in my head, but I’m going to sit down and make the lists on paper very soon.
How to keep going – “We didn’t choose this because it’s easy. We chose it because it’s who we are.” (ain’t that the truth!)
Top 10 Documentaries Every Art Lover Should Watch – I’ve seen most of these, and especially loved Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child. It used to be on Netflix, years ago, but now you can find it on Youtube.
