Oil Portrait Painting No 12/100
I hope you don’t mind that I’m blogging so much right now. I’m putting my nose to the grindstone, and painting like crazy because my hands need to stay busy.
That, plus, I have a fresh palette of oils mixed, and need to use it. I hate scraping paint off my palette to throw away. Oils are too expensive to be wasteful, but sometimes time gets away from me, and it happens.
Right now, if I tend to it every day with a spritz or two of mineral spirits, I can keep an oil palette useable for about a week. Longer, if I keep adding fresh paint to the mix every day.
Sweet Pea’s new toy
to replace her old one.
I was afraid she was too attached to her old one, but nope!
She loves this one more.
Yay!
Best $15 I’ve ever spent

I’ve been loving all these surprise early morning storms we’ve been having lately. I’m saving on the water bill because I haven’t had to water the gardens for a few days now.
The present moment is as it is.
Always.
Can you let it be?

Um..sure? No! No, I can’t. Well, maybe this moment, but not the next. Arrgh!! It’s a constant struggle, all day, every day, isn’t it? Be here now..this moment is all we’ve got.
What I’m watching: Homemade Ep 1 and 2. I was busy working until late last night, so I didn’t have time to commit to watching anything that required time and attention. Luckily, these episodes were less than 10 minutes long, which was perfect.
