These are going to be framed, and available soon in my Etsy shop.
There are only 6 of them, so if you’re interested, keep an eye out for them sometime soon.

I cut my hair off the other day. It was down past my waist. I just couldn’t take it another minute. It’s spring, and it’s time for change. Hands covered in dried paint, I grabbed the scissors, and I chopped!! You could say it was a snap decision, and that I acted on an impulse. You’d be right, but now, my hair is light, bouncy, and more manageable. I love it! I’m sure you go through spells like this, too, right?
I couldn’t stop there. Cutting my hair felt sooo good, I started to look around for other things that needed my attention. My blog quickly came to mind. You might recall me saying I linked my blog to my Daily Paintworks gallery a few months ago, November 12th to be exact. At the time, it made sense to combine blogging with DPW, but lately I’ve started to feel like it’s a chore to blog every single day. My entire blog is boring, and stale, so why am I doing it, I asked myself? I immediately unlinked my blog from the DPW site. I’ll still be selling paintings there daily, but I’ll no longer route them through my blog.

So what’s that mean for my blog? Well, I’m going to take some much needed time off between posts to catch my breath, and actually put some thought into my next post. Seems like a foreign concept to me after blogging daily for 5 solid months, but I’m going to give the slower pace a try. 😉 You can expect new posts 1 to 5 times a week. My posts will be probably be longer with more substance – more studio shots, more daily life shots, and better subject matter when I write. I actually have time now to brainstorming future posts. I haven’t set a schedule yet, and I don’t think I will. I want a break from the rigidness. I’ve set myself free from the daily blogging chains. It feels great!! No worries, tho. I love blogging, so this is far from goodbye. Think of it more like an improvement taking place, and that I’ve hit the reset button.
If you don’t want to keep checking back for updates, you can get my posts delivered right to your email inbox. I’ll add the sign up below this post.
One more change before I go.. I decided to turn the comments back on the other day because it’s been way too quiet around this place lately. It felt too much like I was talking to myself, and man, I do that all day long in my studio. I don’t want to do that on my blog, too. 😉
